Missing A foot? Or Two..

June 22nd, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Oddities

Each day we get up and wonder…

Will another foot wash ashore?

No one can figure this out, but with the great detective work on the pig farmer case, I guess no one is expecting much.

Could be from the Tsunami, plane wreck, or maybe a gang war.. they all seem to be wearing brand name runners. Hmmm…

The first foot was found a year ago on Jedidiah Island in the Strait of Georgia.

Another right foot was found a few days later inside Reebok sneaker on nearby Gabriola Island. The third foot was found close by, on the east side of Valdez Island.

The fourth foot was found May 22 on Kirkland Island in the Fraser River, less than a mile from a site in Ladner, along the same river south of Vancouver, where now a fifth foot was found.

RCMP say the remains of the latest foot were found inside a size 10 black Adidas running shoe.

Major crime investigators from the Campbell River detachment went to the scene to investigate.

“The object will ultimately be examined by a forensic pathologist in attempts to determine the source of the foot and if it is related to other feet recently found,” Tresoor said in a statement.

Officials have DNA profiles from the first three of the feet that washed ashore in the Gulf Islands and Fraser River.

The DNA samples taken from the feet have not been matched with any known samples of missing persons.

The hypothesis is that the feet have washed ashore because they were in buoyant running shoes.

Looking to golf this weekend – are there any golf websites in Vancouver like lastminutegolfer.com ?

As far all I can tell, all are generic sites or adsense riddled… is it possible to book golf online in Vancouver?

Help please. There’s got to be someone out there that offers a golf site that has online booking.

I’ve returned to Canada after working on the US east coast for 8 years. We chose Vancouver as it’s the warmest spot in Canada, and offers spectacular beauty with great restaurants, entertainment and is only a few miles from Washington

Canada – home again! My wife and kids are really looking forward to moving home again into a great house on the side of a mountain. The views are incredible.

Free health care, clean air, beauty, and hockey of course.

Great to be back and looking forward to sharing our experiences living in the #1 city in the world, Vancouver.
