With Their Record On Following Email Law…

Barak Obama is my cousin

Bill would give president emergency control of Internet

The new version of the bill that was put to rest this spring is back….

It would allow the president to “declare a cybersecurity emergency” relating to “non-governmental” computer networks and do what’s necessary to respond to the threat.

Other sections of the proposal include a federal certification program for “cybersecurity professionals,” and a requirement that certain computer systems and networks in the private sector be managed by people who have been awarded that license.

The most controversial language begins in Section 201, which permits the president to “direct the national response to the cyber threat” if necessary for “the national defense and security.”

The White House is supposed to engage in “periodic mapping” of private networks deemed to be critical, and those companies “shall share” requested information with the federal government.

Translation: If your company is deemed “critical,” a new set of regulations kick in involving who you can hire, what information you must disclose, and when the government would exercise control over your computers or network.

Rest here..

A Poll On Glenn Beck Goes Horribly Wrong

August 26th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Obama

Facenbook Poll Glenn Beck

Came across this poll on FaceBook.. and at first I though it would be heavily skewed against Glenn Beck because… well… I kind of thought it would attract Obama voters.

My faith in people has been restored..you can participate here.

The boycott has really upped his ratings, much to the Obama looters disappointment.

Glenn Beck has a great series running this week encouraging people to ask questions. Questions that I’ve never thought would need to be asked in this age.

Here’s the best of the list so far:

- Why does the FCC have a diversity “czar”?

- Is there any place (that has a mass audience) where the government wont regulate free speech?

- Why does it seem every member of the Obama advisory team hates capitalism, unless those companies (like G.E.) are in bed with the administration?

- Do any of the President’s advisers have criminal records?

- Are the President’s advisers working to better the country or their own ideals?

- Who are the anti-capitalists in Washington?

- What roles do they have in crafting bills?

- What was “STORM”? What happened to the founders, where are they now?

- How did Van Jones, a self-proclaimed communist become a special advisor to the president?

- Did President Obama know of Van Jones’ radical political beliefs when he named him special advisor?

- The Apollo Alliance claimed credit for writing the stimulus bill—why was this group allowed to write any portion of this bill?

- What role did the Apollo Alliance play in crafting bills?

- Does the President know the co-founder of the Weather Underground is a board member of the Apollo Alliance? (I cached the link as they have changed content a few hours ago)

- How many people in the administration are connected to the movement for a democratic society?

- What qualifications must one have to be a Presidential adviser?

- What is the difference between a community organizer and a community activist?

- Do the czars have power?

- What are the czars paid? What is the budget for their staffs/offices?

- Should a communist have the ear of the President of the United States?

- What role does George Soros play… CONSTITUTIONALLY?

- Our unfunded liability for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid is close to $100 trillion. Is there any way to pay for these programs without bankrupting America?

- We are in so much debt, why spend more borrowed money on cap-and-trade and healthcare programs before we stop the flow of red-ink?

- The stimulus package funneled billions of dollars to ACORN. How does giving billions of dollars to ACORN stimulate the economy?

- If it was so important for congress to pass the stimulus bill before they even had time to read it why has only a fraction of the stimulus money been spent 6 months later?

- Bush said he had to abandon free market principles in order to save them, how exactly does that work?

- Why won’t members of Congress read the bills before they vote on them?

- Why are citizens mocked and laughed at when they ask their congressman to read the bills before they vote on them?

- Was the cash-for-clunkers program meant to save the earth or the economy? Did it accomplish either?

- If politicians aren’t writing the bills and aren’t reading the bills, do they have any idea what these 1000 page plus bills actually impose on the American people?

Let’s See If The Democrats Have Any Ethics Left

Talkative goose ...

Or what’s good for the goose

With the death of Ted Kennedy (bless his soul), Massachusetts Democrats are in the awkward position of reversing their own 2004 vote (scheme) to keep vacant Senate seats empty until a special election.

When Senator John Kerry was running for president in 2004, the Democratically-controlled State Legislature wanted to deny the Republican governor at the time, Mitt Romney, the power to name a successor if Mr. Kerry won. The resulting law requires a special election 145 to 160 days after the vacancy occurs.

While state legislative leaders  said they were worried that leaving the seat empty for five months could hurt the state…

Representative Michael Moran, co-chairman of the legislature’s elections rules committee said he favored the change and hoped Democratic lawmakers who initially expressed opposition would, too.

“Ted Kennedy was one of the most impressive senators we’ve ever had,” he said, “and to have him write a letter just prior to his death saying this is something Massachusetts needs — how do you not take that seriously and give your position another look?”

Yeah… HOW!??

Maybe holding a special election might be the right thing to do?

I think the Democrats are terrified that they could actually lose Massachusetts – all over America’s reluctance to go along with all the hope’N'change.

Obama creating a civil war in America

CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE

A Hollywood conservative has headed East. It’s “Freedom Concert” time for Jon Voight. The Academy Award winner will join Sean Hannity in Cincinnati and Atlanta this weekend to honor fallen soldiers and present college scholarships to surviving children. Mr. Voight — a warrior himself in many ways — has been cogitating about the state of America, meanwhile.

“There’s a real question at stake now. Is President Obama creating a civil war in our own country?” Mr. Voight tells Inside the Beltway.

“We are witnessing a slow, steady takeover of our true freedoms. We are becoming a socialist nation, and whoever can’t see this is probably hoping it isn’t true. If we permit Mr. Obama to take over all our industries, if we permit him to raise our taxes to support unconstitutional causes, then we will be in default. This great America will become a paralyzed nation.”

Be outraged, Mr. Voight advises.

“Do not let the Obama administration fool you with all their cunning Alinsky methods. And if you don’t know what that method is, I implore you to get the book ‘Rules for Radicals,’ by Saul Alinsky. Mr. Obama is very well trained in these methods,” he continues, citing a television campaign critical of the Republican Party and contentious town-hall meetings about health care reform.

“The real truth is that the Obama administration is professional at bullying, as we have witnessed with ACORN at work during the presidential campaign. It seems to me they are sending down their bullies to create fist fights among average American citizens who don’t want a government-run health care plan forced upon them,” Mr. Voight says. “So I ask again. Is President Obama creating a civil war in our own country?”

Boycott Whole Foods?

August 23rd, 2009 | 4 Comments | Posted in activists

boycott Whole Foods
CEO John Mackey of Whole Foods is an outspoken critic of Obamacare. And the Obama machine is out to take the ’stimulus’ out of his company’s growth and the successful rise of a grocery chain that stands for all things environmentally sound and good nutrition…

Sometimes the left eats their own…

Here’s a case where the  target actually REPRESENTS the core fundamentals of  being a ‘liberal’. The only things missing are membership to PETA and the ACLU (maybe that’s why they have launched this attack?).

I challenge any Democrat or left leaning person to point out one item that he stands for as worthy of a boycott… other than criticizing the great leader.

Do You Know Who You Are Boycotting?

* Mackey lectures at Universities about the horrors of factory farming
* He says “Right now, Americans have to pretend factory farms don’t exist. They turn their eyes away, because there’s no alternative, there’s no choice. Once there is a choice, we will allow ourselves to be outraged.”
* He makes $1 a year and donates his stock portfolio to charity.
* He set up a $100,00 fund to help his employees with personal problems.
* He’s a vegetarian and his company will not buy from producers that treat their animals unethically.
* He flies commercial, rents the smallest cars, and stays in the cheapest hotel rooms – not because he’s cheap, but because he has no need for largesse
* He and his wife participate in yoga
* He gives over $1 million a year to animal welfare groups, education, relief work, and spiritual movements.
* Employees have full say in who they work with – a new employee must receive a 2/3 vote in order to make it past probation.
* Employees also vote on all company-wide initiatives
* There’s a salary book in every store – “no secrets” management believes everyone should know how much everyone else is making
* Executive salaries are capped at 14 times the lowest workers salary – If they want more money, everyone else has to get more money first
* Non-executive employees hold 94% of company stock options
* Pay is linked to team performance – profit sharing
* At least 5% of annual profits go to local charities
* Full-timers get 100% of their health care costs paid for – under plans the employees have selected
* “They just have a lot more respect for you as a person here” says an employee

And because he had a different idea about how the United States can fix it health care situation, none of this matters? He’s a caring person and many of you want to treat him like a monster. Why? Not because he opposes reform, but because he’s bringing more ideas to the table.

You people are despicable. If the country had more CEO’s like Mackey, this country would be a greater place.

Things You Didn’t Know Actually Existed

August 22nd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in activists

bad driverCrazy old bastard - didn't look at the light and nearly ran us over.

Toronto driving examiners go on strike!!!

Or… let them walk until someone misses them.

Now the garbage strike is over, these folksd have been emboldened by the cave-in by the mayor.

Ontario’s driving examiners are on strike after talks broke off this evening between their union and employer.

After more than 55 hours of continuous bargaining, United Steelworkers local 9511 was not able to reach an agreement with Serco DES Inc., resulting in the union’s decision to strike at about 7:30 p.m.

“We reached an impasse,” said employer representative Paul Dalglish, who declined to go into detail about the main sticking points.

More… if you really care.

Their contribution to Toronto’s well being is dubious at best. At least the last time I drove there.

This guy I have sympathy  for…
