Wonder when our kids get to do the same?

Can you imagine?

Canadian version of the Lyrics
========
Song 1:
Mm, mmm, mm!
Stephen Joseph Harper

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Stephen Joseph Harper

He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Stephen Joseph Harper

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Stephen Joseph Harper

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Stephen Joseph Harper

Yes!
Mmm, mmm, mm
Stephen Joseph Harper

Song 2:
Hello, Mr. Prime Minister we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say “hooray!”

Hooray, Mr. Prime Minister! You’re number one!
The first Western Canadian to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. Prime Minister we honor your great plans
To make this country’s economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. Prime Minister, we’re really proud of you!
And we stand for all Canadians under the great Red and White!

Saturday Night G20 Riots

September 26th, 2009 | 2 Comments | Posted in activists

For your viewing enjoyment… brings back warm memories of Canadian G8 riots in years gone by.

G20 Pittsburgh Protests

G20 Police & Riot Control crack down on innocent bystanders. The groups using dumpsters as weapons and throwing bricks at private businesses numbered in the lower 1000’s. Students watching the mayhem unfold, quickly became part of the action and were “batoned” maced, and tear gassed in the overwhelming response of government authorities.

Video: Debunking Story of Stuff

Indoctrination? Actually, this is a video being played in schools  to 9-year old kids all across America — that lays out the ’story of stuff’ a loving, anti-capitalist tale that unfortunately has virtually no facts correct.

A thorough debunking of the video, in which the commentator investigates the footnotes used in the ’story of stuff’ video.

We’ve bought into these lies in Vancouver – hook , line and sinker.

US Condemned By Pakistan

Brutal and unjustified use of preemptive deployment… over 1,000 suffered exposure. Even children had to endure it. Of course, the White House threatens that they reserve the right.

U.S. Condemned For Pre-Emptive Use Of Hillary Clinton Against Pakistan

This Is Why We Pay For Fox News In Canada

Chris Wallace commenting on his treatment by the Obama White House…

…or the biggest bunch of crybabies ever.

If you don’t get to watch the only independent TV news channel in the US, you tend to miss a lot.

With a full-out assault on the media happening this weekend by Obama, it may help to get a bit of balance.

President Obama will not make an appearance on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. In other words, he’ll make a full court media blitz without showing up on the most powerful news media in the world. Let me say that again. The president will make a full court media blitz, but he’ll skip the most powerful news media source. Now, many liberals hate the idea that Fox News is this powerful, but the numbers simply don’t lie. Doing a media blitz without the most powerful media is sort of like having a baseball hall of fame and not including the all time hit king.

The Propaganda Starts Today:

East Hastings – An Olympic Sized Mess

Show of force on Hastings

Protest zones planned for Olymics

With the Olympics just around the corner, you’d think that the money spent on cleaning up East Hastings Street would start to show. Vancouver’s downtown eastside is still crawling with junkies, the mentally ill, and homeless shipped in from across the country.

What do you expect for $1.4 billion?

With the 2010 Olympics about to put Vancouver in the world’s spotlight I wonder what the organizers have planned to hide this blight?

To get to downtown I am forced to drive through the area. Generally, I treat it like a drive through the woods. The people are like deer, jumping unexpectedly in front of cars.

I am still surprised to see an open drug market a block from the police station, groups of addicts smoking crack next to cop cars, crack whores on every corner, and a garbage stench that reminds me of Tijuana.

\$1,468,154,865 has been spent since the Vancouver Agreement was signed, with roughly $717.5-million spent on health and social services, $348.6-million on housing, $154.5-million on safety and justice, $230-million on economic development, and $16.8-million on other services.

Looks like we flushed the money down the toilet… literally.

And if you understand Vancouver, it’s not a surprise.

Glenn Beck Ratings

Time Magazine and the Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals:

Target: Glenn Beck – the pudgy, buzz-cut, weeping phenomenon of radio, TV and books.

Mad Man: Is Glenn Beck Bad for America?

Time Cover January 13, 1995: IS RUSH LIMBAUGH GOOD FOR AMERICA?

While the left tries their best to demonize, marginalize and polarize Glenn Beck, his ratings continue to soar.

They miss the point entirely in the haste to cover-up their corrupt partners that got them elected. Acorn has fallen, next up is the SEIU, followed by the great number of extremists in the Obama administration. You know he’ll throw them all under the bus to do his best to maintain power. Unfortunately, the 2010 elections will mean the end of Democratic control in congress.

Faced with the obvious, Obama has formed a new power base through his Czars and by getting far-left George Soros Backed groups to write the bills. This is what Beck is bringing to light, and remarkably bringing down piece by piece, on a weekly basis.

Saul would be proud if this was a radical following his plan. But Beck represents middle America and by using the radicals tactics, he has turned the tables.

In Canada, we can learn a lot from Beck. The “silent majority” in Canada has been pacified by generations of Liberal control.

It’s time we stand up to the threats to our free speech, the obscene taxation at every level of government, social programs that have bred generations of freeloaders, and the massive size of  government. It’s been said that Canadian’s have never found a tax they didn’t love. I don’t believe this.

We need to let political leaders know that enough is enough, and that if they stand up for less spending, lower taxes, and the end to the nanny state, that we’ll elect them into a majority.

I have never voted in Canada in my 46 years, because I have seen it as a waste of time. Having lived in Alberta for most of my life, the conservatives always were a shoe in.  In Vancouver, I have looked at the polls and my candidate has always won by a landslide. (I am in one of the few riding where a conservative can win).

In BC, we have a Liberal party that has outright lied to the voters and now is trying to balance the budget through harmonizing our excessive PST with the GST. Ignoring that they will crush the sales of big ticket items, decimate our housing market, and that they would have lost the election had they told us… they are hell bent to drive BC into the ground. BC, per capita, is worse off than California on almost every level.

Now that the silent majority is showing its power in the US, I am hopeful that this will happen here.

It’s no coincidence that the non-confidence vote never happened this week. The left knows that they are under the microscope and people are on to their plans for us. Jack Layton backed Harper??!

Watching Beck (yes, I bucked up for Fox News) inspires me that there is hope in Canada.

My only question is: “Who’s going to be Canada’s Glenn Beck”?

Acorn Sets Their Sights on Canada

L.A. Bank Robbery

The first question is: How did a leader of a criminal enterprise get into Canada.

Ottawa: The Public Service Association of Canada building was drenched in a downpour as we started our discussion of Citizen Wealth, but it wasn’t long before the room was warm with good conversation and insightful dialogue.  We had a great mix of Ottawa ACORN leaders, community activists, labor veterans, and academics, so it was clear I was going to learn some things.

There was huge interest in experiences with living wage campaigns from the States because Ottawa ACORN and its allies have launched a campaign for a $13.50 rate for city contracted employees in Ottawa.

The measure is being pushed to the “poverty reduction” committee of the city where we have high hopes, but we need another half dozen or more votes and the Mayor has weighed in negatively creating another obstacle. Many questions and comments from the group indicated that an “area wide” measure might find enthusiasm in the future here.

Asset and wealth building strategies attracted a lot of attention.  The obsession with home ownership in the United States is not shared in Canada, and it didn’t take long to find out why.  The problem discussed at length in Citizen Wealth about redirecting the tax breaks for all but the low income for mortgage based interest deductions so that such tax resources could be used to really build citizen wealth is not an issue here.  In Canada there is no mortgage interest deduction on federal taxes, eliminating a huge incentive for home ownership.  Additionally, there is no capital gains advantage or problem on home sales.  We had a lively conversation then on rental units and coops.

Several thought the rise of unions had inadvertently led to a decrease in cooperatives as a wealth strategy.

STOP Acorn’s Growth In Canada before we are taken hostage by the Rathke brothers. It won’ be long before they find a loophole to get a grip on us and submit us to the same extortion they have successfully used to take control of the American Government.

I actually find it amusing that he is taking cover in Ottawa.

*Citizen Wealth is a term Rathke uses liberally… it’s a PC term to be aware of as the CBC and our left-wing infrastructure starts to spread this propaganda. It’s code for theft from the middle class.

Imagine this group taking hold of Vancouver’s East Hastings Street embarrassment:

Here’s a Lesson For Big Government Programs

A Little Perspective

The $150 Space Camera.

Bespoke is old hat. Off-the-shelf is in. Even Google runs the world’s biggest and scariest server farms on computers home-made from commodity parts. DIY is cheaper and often better, as Justin Lee and Oliver Yeh found out when they decided to send a camera into space.

The two students (from MIT, of course) put together a low-budget rig to fly a camera high enough to photograph the curvature of the Earth. Instead of rockets, boosters and expensive control systems, they filled a weather balloon with helium and hung a styrofoam beer cooler underneath to carry a cheap Canon A470 compact camera. Instant hand warmers kept things from freezing up and made sure the batteries stayed warm enough to work.

Of course, all this would be pointless if the guys couldn’t find the rig when it landed, so they dropped a prepaid GPS-equipped cellphone inside the box for tracking.

Total cost, including duct tape? $148. The rest here…

And here’s how Obama could keep from terrifying New York.

Acorn’s Answer To Corruption – Blame The Racist Fox News

September 12th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Obama

acorn

Acorn is at risk of losing its $8 Billion in funding (looting?) from the American stimulus.

Now that they have been caught on tape twice counseling clients to commit major crimes… their answer?

Fox is RACIST.

Statement from Margaret Williams, Board Member, Maryland ACORN  September 10, 2009

Fox’s attempt to smear ACORN Thursday September 10, 2009 is despicable, part of a coordinated, long-term campaign by Fox to damage ACORN, the premiere community organization of low- and moderate-income people in the United States.  Every day ACORN members are working for health care reform, living wage jobs, to end the foreclosure crisis, and to strengthen our public schools.  For its part, Fox is running a campaign to demonize ACORN.  They will get attention, but they will not succeed.

In July 2009, Fox agents attempted to enter ACORN offices in New York, in Philadelphia, in San Diego, in Los Angeles, and possibly other locales.  In each case they were turned away, and in Philadelphia ACORN staff were concerned enough that a police report was filed.  In Baltimore, the Fox squad deceived ACORN staff by consistently misrepresenting their intentions.  No tax returns were filed and no assistance was provided.  But the ACORN personnel in question have been terminated because their handling of the Fox agents provocateurs did not meet ACORN’s standards of professionalism.

The larger pattern of Fox’s irresponsible actions here is the real news.  From Glenn Beck calling President Obama a racist, to Fox inciting racism and threats of violence with the Teaparties, to Fox unleashing a hit job on ACORN the day after an inspiring Presidential healthcare speech before Congress, Fox has long since abandoned any journalistic pretense.  It is clear and not coincidence that FOX continues to attack and divide our nation along racial lines.  We believe our country is beyond this type of attack and call on all Americans to demand that FOX stop its racist coverage.

For More Information, Contact: Brian Kettenring, (727) 692-7215, bkettenring@acorn.org (some interesting items on him here, and here and here.)

It should be noted that Fox didn’t enter their offices – An independent filmaker did… and Acorn, instead of owning up to the corruption that has overtaken their organization, chooses to go after the messenger. With bold faced lies.

The obvious thing is that Acorn is acting in unison with the Obama administration game plan… which means that they are getting help from their fellow looters. (Has a President ever publicly blamed a specific news organization or talk radio for their problems the way the current little-boy president does now? It’s sad and un-presidential to say the least.)

It’s only a matter of time till they collapse. Here are 2 million reasons why. Now they’ve been fired from Obama’s questionable census.

And it’s nice to know that  Glenn Beck’s rating continue to soar. (He now beats Bill O’Rielly)

Oh, and 2 million people turned out today for Glenn Beck’s Washington 9/12 event.

Don’t Feel Bad America – We Have Two Acorn Groups In Canada

September 12th, 2009 | 2 Comments | Posted in activists

One of the Lost
Creative Commons License photo credit: beautifulcataya

It’s a little confusing… and maybe we should start a fund to make one of them change their name….

1) GOOD: Acorn Canada is committed to sharing the care and healing presence of Christ with all.

It has come to our attention that we are being confused with another Acorn Canada that has a nearly identical internet address. This other organization is also known as the “Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now“. We wish it to be known that the Acorn Canada of our website is in no way associated with any pressure or reform group.

2) BAD: The Canadian version of the criminal organization Acorn:

Does this sound familiar?

Since 2004 ACORN has taken action and won victories on issues of concern to their members. Their priorities include: better housing for tenants, living wages for low-wage workers, more investment in our communities from banks and governments, and regulation of payday lenders. ACORN achieves these goals by building community organizations that have the power to win changes — through direct action, negotiation, legislation, and voter participation.

ACORN Canada’s goal is to represent and champion the interests of Canada’s low- and moderate-income urban communities on the critical issues of social and economic justice. We believe that transforming the conditions that adversely affect millions of Canadians can best be achieved with an active national membership – members deeply invested in their organization and focused clearly on lasting socio-economic change.

The time is right for ACORN Canada, with our local offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Hamilton and Ottawa, to build this truly grassroots, community-driven organization. ACORN members participate in local meetings and actively work on campaigns, elect leadership from the neighborhood level up, and pay the organization’s core expenses through membership dues and grassroots fundraisers.

So far they have completely avoided the media limelight.. although this may be intentional.

We can only hope Acorn is brought down soon and closes up shop here in Canada.

I Thought Vancouver Has Enough Worries With Global Warming

September 12th, 2009 | 2 Comments | Posted in All about Vancouver

google

As I drove downtown today in Vancouver, I was taken back by the 9/11 truther protests.

Even though Vancouver has its share of wacky causes and groups, I didn’t realize that truthers existed here. I was wrong.

Even the CBC gets into the act… why they choose to desecrate September 11th with this kind of garbage is beyond me.  Good thing no one actually watches the CBC. (Why I am forced to pay for this crap is another story.)

THE PASSIONATE EYE on CBC Newsworld. 9/11 Conspiracy Files: The Third Tower investigates the conspiracy theories that continue to swirl around Sept. 11, including the collapse of a third tower at the World Trade Center, which unlike the Twin Towers, was never hit by a plane. The 47-story tower fell seven hours after the other two crumbled and has become the subject of heated speculation and conspiracy theories largely fuelled by the internet. 9/11 Conspiracy Files: The Third Tower sets out to separate the facts from fiction.

From a Vancouver truther’s site:

The following provisions are unalterable:

(a) We believe that when a crime is committed in a society governed by the rule of law, no members of that society should be above the law. Where there is strong evidence to suggest that certain individuals may have committed a crime, there must be an investigation carried out by someone other than the prime suspects, or their close associates. (Hello Osama)

(b) In the case of Sept 11, 2001, there exists an overwhelming body of evidence suggesting that (1) the attacks of that day could not have been carried out without complicity from within the highest levels of the US government, and (2) the official “investigation” was in fact a cover-up, by US authorities and media alike.  The truth about 9/11 is not known, not because it is unknowable, but because it has been concealed. (Right…)

(c) We are part of an international truth-seeking movement. We believe that truth and justice matter.  This Society is committed to exposing the facts and demanding the truth about 9/11. (Call in Jesse Ventura)

This sums it up:

The members and subsidiary members of the 9/11 Truth Movement are for the most part confused, delusional and are being manipulated by their handlers. Originally their handlers were the Democratic left seeking to push Bush out of office. Since then, their handlers have changed hands to failed politicians, alternative media personalities that are in it just for the money and the purely anti-establishment types that we have had around for decades, the ones that bitch and complain no matter who is in office. They try to muster support by including actors, former and failed politicians, and bottom of the barrel entertainers in their ranks. This only adds to their discredit. Put it this way. When you parade “The artist formerly known as Prince” as a spokesman for your cause, you are scraping the absolute bottom of the barrel. Face it, you lack credibility.

You can read the rest of the origins of the truthers here. Or the top 10 Celebrity truther nutjobs.

You’d think that after 8 years they’d find another thing to occupy their time… by the looks of the group, they have a lot of it on their hands.

Got 45 Minutes? A Great 911 Video

A video from March 05, 2007, summarizes sage thought about September 11 and what it really means by Evan Sayet, Writer, Lecturer and Pundit

Today it takes on new meaning as the beacon of capitalism is being brought to its knees by liberal thinking and community organizers once again…

September 11th Coincidence?

Angel with a stogie!

Wired: Sept. 11 is a black day in American history, on at least two counts … this is the other one. Exactly three years before the attacks in New York and Washington, Congress releases the contents of the infamous Starr report on the internet, which leads to the impeachment of a U.S. president.

It’s no wonder the left wants us to move on… Don’t forget the real heroes of 9/11
