September 27th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in activists

Wonder when our kids get to do the same?

Can you imagine?

Canadian version of the Lyrics
========
Song 1:
Mm, mmm, mm!
Stephen Joseph Harper

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Stephen Joseph Harper

He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Stephen Joseph Harper

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Stephen Joseph Harper

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Stephen Joseph Harper

Yes!
Mmm, mmm, mm
Stephen Joseph Harper

Song 2:
Hello, Mr. Prime Minister we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say “hooray!”

Hooray, Mr. Prime Minister! You’re number one!
The first Western Canadian to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. Prime Minister we honor your great plans
To make this country’s economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. Prime Minister, we’re really proud of you!
And we stand for all Canadians under the great Red and White!

So continue —- Mr. Prime Minister we know you’ll do the trick
So here’s a hearty hip-hooray —-

Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!

Why We Need Guns In Vancouver

With our catch and release justice system, we need to teach our kids what Lucas has learned.

Saturday Night G20 Riots

September 26th, 2009 | 2 Comments | Posted in activists

For your viewing enjoyment… brings back warm memories of Canadian G8 riots in years gone by.

G20 Pittsburgh Protests

G20 Police & Riot Control crack down on innocent bystanders. The groups using dumpsters as weapons and throwing bricks at private businesses numbered in the lower 1000′s. Students watching the mayhem unfold, quickly became part of the action and were “batoned” maced, and tear gassed in the overwhelming response of government authorities.

Video: Debunking Story of Stuff

Indoctrination? Actually, this is a video being played in schools  to 9-year old kids all across America — that lays out the ‘story of stuff’ a loving, anti-capitalist tale that unfortunately has virtually no facts correct.

A thorough debunking of the video, in which the commentator investigates the footnotes used in the ‘story of stuff’ video.

We’ve bought into these lies in Vancouver – hook , line and sinker.

US Condemned By Pakistan

Brutal and unjustified use of preemptive deployment… over 1,000 suffered exposure. Even children had to endure it. Of course, the White House threatens that they reserve the right.

This Is Why We Pay For Fox News In Canada

Chris Wallace commenting on his treatment by the Obama White House…

…or the biggest bunch of crybabies ever.

If you don’t get to watch the only independent TV news channel in the US, you tend to miss a lot.

With a full-out assault on the media happening this weekend by Obama, it may help to get a bit of balance.

President Obama will not make an appearance on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. In other words, he’ll make a full court media blitz without showing up on the most powerful news media in the world. Let me say that again. The president will make a full court media blitz, but he’ll skip the most powerful news media source. Now, many liberals hate the idea that Fox News is this powerful, but the numbers simply don’t lie. Doing a media blitz without the most powerful media is sort of like having a baseball hall of fame and not including the all time hit king.

East Hastings – An Olympic Sized Mess

Show of force on Hastings

Protest zones planned for Olymics

With the Olympics just around the corner, you’d think that the money spent on cleaning up East Hastings Street would start to show. Vancouver’s downtown eastside is still crawling with junkies, the mentally ill, and homeless shipped in from across the country.

What do you expect for $1.4 billion?

With the 2010 Olympics about to put Vancouver in the world’s spotlight I wonder what the organizers have planned to hide this blight?

To get to downtown I am forced to drive through the area. Generally, I treat it like a drive through the woods. The people are like deer, jumping unexpectedly in front of cars.

I am still surprised to see an open drug market a block from the police station, groups of addicts smoking crack next to cop cars, crack whores on every corner, and a garbage stench that reminds me of Tijuana.

\$1,468,154,865 has been spent since the Vancouver Agreement was signed, with roughly $717.5-million spent on health and social services, $348.6-million on housing, $154.5-million on safety and justice, $230-million on economic development, and $16.8-million on other services.

Looks like we flushed the money down the toilet… literally.

And if you understand Vancouver, it’s not a surprise.

Glenn Beck Ratings

Time Magazine and the Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals:

Target: Glenn Beck – the pudgy, buzz-cut, weeping phenomenon of radio, TV and books.

Mad Man: Is Glenn Beck Bad for America?

Time Cover January 13, 1995: IS RUSH LIMBAUGH GOOD FOR AMERICA?

While the left tries their best to demonize, marginalize and polarize Glenn Beck, his ratings continue to soar.

They miss the point entirely in the haste to cover-up their corrupt partners that got them elected. Acorn has fallen, next up is the SEIU, followed by the great number of extremists in the Obama administration. You know he’ll throw them all under the bus to do his best to maintain power. Unfortunately, the 2010 elections will mean the end of Democratic control in congress.

Faced with the obvious, Obama has formed a new power base through his Czars and by getting far-left George Soros Backed groups to write the bills. This is what Beck is bringing to light, and remarkably bringing down piece by piece, on a weekly basis.

Saul would be proud if this was a radical following his plan. But Beck represents middle America and by using the radicals tactics, he has turned the tables.

In Canada, we can learn a lot from Beck. The “silent majority” in Canada has been pacified by generations of Liberal control.

It’s time we stand up to the threats to our free speech, the obscene taxation at every level of government, social programs that have bred generations of freeloaders, and the massive size of  government. It’s been said that Canadian’s have never found a tax they didn’t love. I don’t believe this.

We need to let political leaders know that enough is enough, and that if they stand up for less spending, lower taxes, and the end to the nanny state, that we’ll elect them into a majority.

I have never voted in Canada in my 46 years, because I have seen it as a waste of time. Having lived in Alberta for most of my life, the conservatives always were a shoe in.  In Vancouver, I have looked at the polls and my candidate has always won by a landslide. (I am in one of the few riding where a conservative can win).

In BC, we have a Liberal party that has outright lied to the voters and now is trying to balance the budget through harmonizing our excessive PST with the GST. Ignoring that they will crush the sales of big ticket items, decimate our housing market, and that they would have lost the election had they told us… they are hell bent to drive BC into the ground. BC, per capita, is worse off than California on almost every level.

Now that the silent majority is showing its power in the US, I am hopeful that this will happen here.

It’s no coincidence that the non-confidence vote never happened this week. The left knows that they are under the microscope and people are on to their plans for us. Jack Layton backed Harper??!

Watching Beck (yes, I bucked up for Fox News) inspires me that there is hope in Canada.

My only question is: “Who’s going to be Canada’s Glenn Beck”?

Acorn Sets Their Sights on Canada

L.A. Bank Robbery

The first question is: How did a leader of a criminal enterprise get into Canada.

Ottawa: The Public Service Association of Canada building was drenched in a downpour as we started our discussion of Citizen Wealth, but it wasn’t long before the room was warm with good conversation and insightful dialogue.  We had a great mix of Ottawa ACORN leaders, community activists, labor veterans, and academics, so it was clear I was going to learn some things.

There was huge interest in experiences with living wage campaigns from the States because Ottawa ACORN and its allies have launched a campaign for a $13.50 rate for city contracted employees in Ottawa.

The measure is being pushed to the “poverty reduction” committee of the city where we have high hopes, but we need another half dozen or more votes and the Mayor has weighed in negatively creating another obstacle. Many questions and comments from the group indicated that an “area wide” measure might find enthusiasm in the future here.

Asset and wealth building strategies attracted a lot of attention.  The obsession with home ownership in the United States is not shared in Canada, and it didn’t take long to find out why.  The problem discussed at length in Citizen Wealth about redirecting the tax breaks for all but the low income for mortgage based interest deductions so that such tax resources could be used to really build citizen wealth is not an issue here.  In Canada there is no mortgage interest deduction on federal taxes, eliminating a huge incentive for home ownership.  Additionally, there is no capital gains advantage or problem on home sales.  We had a lively conversation then on rental units and coops.

Several thought the rise of unions had inadvertently led to a decrease in cooperatives as a wealth strategy.

STOP Acorn’s Growth In Canada before we are taken hostage by the Rathke brothers. It won’ be long before they find a loophole to get a grip on us and submit us to the same extortion they have successfully used to take control of the American Government.

I actually find it amusing that he is taking cover in Ottawa.

*Citizen Wealth is a term Rathke uses liberally… it’s a PC term to be aware of as the CBC and our left-wing infrastructure starts to spread this propaganda. It’s code for theft from the middle class.

Imagine this group taking hold of Vancouver’s East Hastings Street embarrassment:
