Worst Pro-Healthcare Ad Ever

December 20th, 2009 | 1 Comment | Posted in Free Health Care

Use sex (or lack of it) to pass health care.

Question: What would you withhold from someone who opposes health care reform? Cookies, a Christmas gift, sex?

Wonder who thought this up.  George Soros? The good thing is that this strategy will lead to less democrats being born.

Lip Syncing The Opening Games

Lip sync orchestra

Filed under what the hell were they thinking..

The famed conductor of the Grammy-winning Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, slammed the 2010 organizing committee for asking his orchestra to pre-record a performance for the opening ceremonies of the Games — and then planning for another conductor to “mime” his part of the soundtrack during the internationally broadcast show.

Saturday, after Tovey and the orchestra received a two-day, standing-ovation-like response for turning VANOC down, 2010 officials issued a statement apologizing “for putting the orchestra in an untenable position regarding the opening ceremonies.”

VANOC said technical requirements were to blame.

“For international televised live spectacles of this size and scope, it is standard practice to pre-record the musical segments to ensure the integrity and security of the broadcast transmission,” said David Atkins, executive producer of the 2010 ceremonies.

Tovey responded by calling the proposal for musical miming a type of plagiarism that was “non-Olympian in spirit” and “on a par with Ben Johnson’s [steroid-enhanced] fraud” when he won a gold medal at 1988 Olympics.

Glenn Beck On Jay Leno

Great interview… most Canadians don’t get his show on Fox News, and his message needs to be heard.

Regardless of where you stand, it’s tough to argue his points… he has awoken middle-class America.

A surprisingly good interview. Plus, Jay Leno shows he isn’t a partisan hack.

Time Is Running Out

Start Time

The Favorite phrase of the Obama administration. Now that anyone is buying it anymore.

It started with the financial industry rescue – which, at the time, was believable. Unfortunately there’s no end in sight. In 2010 we’ll have as many, if not more, bank failures, foreclosures and business collapses. If you want proof of  what happens when government jumps into business look to the Ford VS GM yearly results.

The stimulus - Canada’s included. The cry was we need it NOW, and they haven’t spent much even after 6 months. It was a con to get money for political payoff and to further their agenda. Look for round 2 in the US. Thankfully Harper has kept a lid on ours.

American health care reform - they are trying to jam this down America’s throat even though it doesn’t actually start to reform anything until they’ve collected years of taxes. If you’d like to see just how big of a dog it really is, read this legal review. The reform is purely social engineering and will do nothing to improve costs or quality of health care. There will still be millions uninsured, although they will face fines and jail for not being insured. Americans hate it and it has awakened the silent majority.

Our world – we’re all going to drown soon, the globe is heating up faster than ever, our ice cap will be gone in a few years… and NOW is the time to transfer all of our money to the third world. Fortunately Copenhagen collapsed. That’s what happens when you gather the world’s Marxists and dictators together. It was meant to be a foreign-aid bonanza… or at least they hoped for one. They’ll try again in Mexico.

Obama-change has broken the bank… and now China is warning it can’t buy US debt. This should be a dire warning, but it’s apparent the Obama agenda trumps common sense. The Chinese have been sending the message for months, but no one is listening.

Onward they go, forcing massive spending bills through. California could be first to collapse – It already costs 2.35% a year of principal to insure Californian municipals against default, according to CMA DataVision, nearly as much as it costs to insure Greek bonds. The treasury will need to be buying these soon, and it doesn’t have the money.

2010 doesn’t look good, thanks to the Obama-looting in 2009. The US will see skyrocketing taxes, higher unemployment, and huge government growth.

The progressives are in a panic, because they know this is will be a short-lived opportunity – where they have complete control – to radically change the US to their socialist ideal. Obama’s first year makes Jimmy Carter look like a genius.

Real Hope’N'Change should come later in 2010, when congress is voted out. Hopefully, Republicans will embrace the tea party ideals, and we’ll see a return to sanity. The odds of the Nancy and Harry show being around in 2011 are slim to none.

Let’s hope it’s not too late.

The real fallout in Canada hasn’t even started yet, and when it comes, we’re in for a shock. We continue to spend at an unsustainable rate and Canadians today are deeper in debt than ever. Oil is the only thing holding things together right now. If commodity prices were to drop substantially, we’re in big trouble. A second world financial crisis (which is inevitable) would drive commodities down.

Time to slow down and start putting money away… rainy days may be just around the corner.

The Mad Mullah Is Dead

Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri

TEHRAN, Iran — Grandson of Iran’s senior dissident cleric says Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri is dead.

The BBC pays Homage: One of Iran’s most prominent dissident clerics, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Ali Montazeri, has died aged 87.

“Hoseyn Ali Montazeri passed away in his home last night,” state-owned Irna news agency said.

Hoseyn Ali Montazeri was a moving spirit in the 1979 revolution which created Iran’s Islamic state, and was at one stage set to become its leader.

One of Shia Islam’s most respected figures, he was also a leading critic of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Grand Ayatollah Montazeri issued a fatwa condemning President Ahmadinejad’s government after June’s disputed election.

Too bad it was one of the dissident ones. He was the only sane one standing between Ahmadinejad and his nukes.

Al Franken making his mark on government. And then taken to task.

This is what happens when you elect a comedian to government. Minnesota should be proud.

Summit Ends Amid Record Global Snowing

Ice cave in Glacier Gray

Valdez socked in

Valdez got more than four inches per hour at the height of the snowstorm that began there Monday and ran through the week. By the time the citizens of Alaska’s only oil port finally caught a break, the snow was piled 5 feet, 8 inches deep.

Yes, you read right.

Five feet, 8 inches; over the head of your average American woman, up the nose of your average American man. The National Weather Service called it record. Fire hydrants were buried so deep under snow not even Tiger Woods could have hit them.

In other news:

Europe see record snow from England to Poland.

Record cold, snow envelop Japan Sea coast

Storm dumps record snowfall in Carson

St. John’s gets record snowfall

Workers prepare for big snow dump in Metro Vancouver

Record snowfall blankets Ontario

OBAMA SAYS BECAUSE OF WEATHER REASONS WILL RETURN TO WASHINGTON BEFORE A FINAL VOTE AT UN SUMMIT.

Pelosi told CNN that military officials leading her Congressional delegation have urged the 21 lawmakers to leave Copenhagen several hours earlier than scheduled on Saturday.

The Speaker said she has agreed to the new travel plan so that lawmakers can get back to Washington before much of the expected storm wallops the nation’s capital.

He’s running away from Copenhagen now. Just in time before all the Global freezing gets in the way.

The ice returneth… as it does each winter. Couldn’t ask for a better ending

Obama Without TOTUS

December 18th, 2009 | 2 Comments | Posted in Obama

Need any more proof Obama is a poser? Another bomb.

Usually Obama has his teleprompters to his left and right – and you get to watch him move his head back and forth, which is funny enough.

Watch this with the sound off… hilarious. I call it the Obama swoop.

Call it an ObamaWin

obama-wins

Obama has a way of turning defeat into wins… at least according to some:

Obama: ‘Meaningful breakthrough’ reached at talks

Obama claims partial victory in Copenhagen

All nations agree Copenhagen climate deal: Sarkozy

Obama claims partial victory in Copenhagen

Then we have something closer to the truth:

Leaders, Activists Throwing in the Towel in Copenhagen?

Copenhagen Blues? White House Announces ‘Meaningful Agreement’

This one hits the nail on the head:

Socialists in Copenhagen Reach Non-Binding “Agreement”; World Laughs

Seriously, non-binding? President Hope’n’Change could only get a non-binding agreement that lists “promises” made by global leaders? No wonder China and India agreed to the pact. They don’t actually have to do anything.

Neither do we, technically speaking, but we do have political leaders dumb enough to stab our economy in the heart in the name of Gaia, bigger government, and exportation of sovereignty. All while China and India laugh their developing butts off and their economies keep growing.

Now Obama’s coming running back to the states like a college student who thinks he’s really achieved world peace by attending that Free Tibet rally.

Sometime next year, maybe the year after, he’ll realize that China and the rest of the world were really lying all along. They don’t intend on harming their own economy, just ours. They don’t intend on redistributing their wealth, just ours. They didn’t intend on exporting their sovereignty, just ours.

The global warming movement is just the global socialist movement rebranded. Hand over your money, sovereignty, free market economies, and freedom of choice…in the name of saving the planet and polar bears.

Underlying motivation? What underlying motivation? We’re all about saving Gaia, you see.

We can’t actually prove the science? Don’t mind that. We’re experts. You’re not.

You’re an expert? You must be a whacko on the dole of an oil company.

You have evidence of us manipulating data and just making stuff up? Stop being a Flat-earther.

The climate protesters in Copenhagen marching with anti-capitalist, pro-socialism posters? Don’t mind them. Small group.

It’s consistently pushed by left-tilting leaders, even admitted socialists, with agendas for massive, global government? Er, sheer coincidence.

See where this is going? Socialism has been rebranded as the global warming movement. You’re expected to hand over your wealth, sovereignty, freedom, capitalist ideals, and all the rest. This time in the name of saving the polar bears. It’s the global socialist movement with a cuter mascot.

You have to wonder what he gave away to get this non-agreement.

A good review of his speech:

Barack Obama stepped into the chaotic final hours of the Copenhagen summit today saying he was convinced the world could act “boldly and decisively” on climate change.

But his speech offered no indication America was ready to embrace bold measures, after world leaders had been working desperately against the clock to try to paper over an agreement to prevent two years of wasted effort — and a 10-day meeting — from ending in total collapse. …

Many reactions were strongly critical of Obama. Hugo Chávez, the president of Venezuela, described Obama’s speech as “ridiculous” and the US’s initial offer of a $10bn fund for poor countries in the draft text as “a joke”.

Tim Jones, a spokesman for the World Development Movement, said: “The president said he came to act, but showed little evidence of doing so. He showed no awareness of the inequality and injustice of climate change. If America has really made its choice, it is a choice that condemns hundreds of millions of people to climate change disaster.”

Friends of the Earth said in a statement, “Obama has deeply disappointed not only those listening to his speech at the UN talks, he has disappointed the whole world.”

Not much mention of this:

India and China have taken a united stand and walked out of the climate summit as Copenhagen talks fail.

Tensions prevailed at the climate talks at Copenhagen today, as Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh and China premier Wen Jiabao walked out of the summit along with their respective delegations, as talks failed.

We dodged a Marxist bullet… for now.
