Creepy Headline Of The Day

Creepy Janet Napolitano

Thank Janet Napolitano for making all air travel a nightmare, who today told reporters during a briefing that the United States is scheduled to deploy 300 additional advanced imaging scanners at U.S. airports in 2010, and may deploy more.

I still don’t understand how this will stop terrorists in other countries from boarding with pantie bombs.

And who could forget Janet blaming Canada for 911. Someone needs to tell here where the terrorists are and what the look like.

Here’s a quick guide:

Not only will putting the detectors in the US not stop bombs from overseas they won’t catch bombs coming from the US. The amount and type of material in knickerbomber’s bloomers would not have been evident to one of those detectors.

I assume these are x-ray or some other electro-magnetic radiation scanners. Has anyone looked into the dosage each scan gets? How additive is that to radiation you may be getting elsewhere?

As a former frequent flyer doing 200-400 flights per year I would be very concerned about the additive effect. Then there is also the issue of people whose jobs take them tho the limit for radiation exposure and people who have just finished cancer therapies, where yet another dose could push you over the top.
