Is 3930 | The Boom generation

Chrysler to come out of bankruptcy as another government owned entity…

- Fiat (a new 20% owner) with a track record of making cars that rates up with the Edsel.  This should really help the quality issue that has plagued Chrysler.

-  Although the majority of Chrysler would be controlled by the United Auto Workers, that 55% stake would be “administered by the U.S. Treasury.”

Watch for Obama’s crew to attack the hedge fund investors to get this through.

- Suppliers also stopped shipping parts to Chrysler almost immediately following its announcement yesterday over concern they won’t get paid, industry sources said.

“Fiat can build clean, fuel-efficient cars of the future,” Obama said, and “transfer billions of dollars worth of cutting-edge technology” to the automaker.

Time to put Chrysler out of it’s misery. Liquidate it and pay back the stimulus funds.

The Swine/Pig/or whatever they want to call it virus:

Parents should get ready for schools closing – Americans should get ready to lose some rights… all over a pig flu that is no worse than a winter cold.

Swine flu is a “pandemic” even though the virus turns out to cause mainly mild symptoms as it sweeps the world, raising questions about how serious the global alert actually is. Then Joe Biden helped the transportation industry with his well thought-out comments

The Massachusetts Senate just passed a bill, 36-0, allowing the public health commissioner to close or evacuate buildings, enter private property for investigations, and quarantine individuals.

Another great crisis not to waste:

And, in Vancouver, the Liberals kick off their convention… to find new ways to add to the pain.
