The IMF beat Iffy to it, and gave PMSH a glowing A+ report card this week.
The IMF has once again changed the outlook for Canada downward,
but praised the Harper Government for the handling of the crisis.

Quotes from the report:

The Washington-based IMF, a 185-country organization dedicated to economic growth and poverty eradication, released a report Wednesday that said,
"Canada is better placed than many countries to weather the global financial turbulence and worldwide recession, thanks to sound policy management and proactive steps to maintain economic and financial stability."

"With the global outlook marked by unusually high uncertainty, Canada has prudently taken proactive steps and should stand ready to act further in case downside risks appear," the Washington-based IMF said.

"The rapid deterioration in the global environment is affecting Canada through its strong international linkages.

The IMF said "the strong fiscal package announced in January, which was large, timely and well targeted, . . . will buoy demand during the downturn," adding that Canada’s economy is expected to weaken further in the coming month "before picking up on the back of the policy stimulus already in train."

How is Iggy qualified to issue a report card? For pete's sake, he's a human rights geek who has steered well clear of economic complexities his whole life. What a buffoon.

Speaking of human rights, when is someone in the MSM going to ask the geek for a clear perspective on section 13 of the HRA? He must have thought this through, in fact, it should be a mickey mouse question for such an erudite scholar.
