The “socialist” label that Sen. John McCain and his GOP presidential running mate Sarah Palin are trying to attach to Sen. Barack Obama actually has long and very ugly historical roots.
…McCain and Palin have simply reached back in history to use an old code word for black. It set whites apart from those deemed unAmerican and those who could not be trusted during the communism scare.
Seems that we’ve grown so accustomed to the word, it now means NDP here in Canada.

real conservative, I’ve been wondering that very thing myself. It seems that despite the name “blogging tories” there are an awful lot of left wingers blogging under this title.
I mean Obama makes Stephen Dion look like a centre right politician.

I agree with both of you, they nag about the ndp, they are so bad, so socialists, but they support obama??? I saw a black comedian once on tv, here is what he said, “what we have here is a bunch of self concious white people, who want to proove to themselves that they are not racist”.
