Iran Government Killing Protesters

June 17th, 2009 Posted in activists

The Iranian government is doing all it can to block any information leaving the country – but the people are managing to circumvent the blocks.

Here is a video channel that is getting footage out.

On Monday, sites belonging to Iranian news agencies, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were knocked off-line after activists opposed to the Iranian government posted tools designed to barrage these websites with traffic.

Information providers and their conduits, like people, just want to be free. No matter. Outmaneuvered by dissidents on Twitter, Facebook, and blogs, Iran has declared war on the Internet. (h/t)

My friend said these young guys and girls ALWAYS talk about how to defeat anti-riot police. Always talk about how to defeat the regime on the internet. Always discuss the ways to learn how to combat in street fights. Always discuss how to hack regime websites. It can not be denied that Iran is in a pre-revolutionary mode now and anything is possible. A little bit of pressure from the outside world can tip this thing in favor of the liberty and humanity.

More observations here.

The Revolutionary Guard needs to lower their weapons, not drop them. All commanders in the field must tell their men to allow the people their voice. The Army works for the people no? The army commanders must take a stand. Or have they forgotten what a revolution looks like.
