OMG: The Liberals Hidden Agenda

Now that he’s found out that the sun is behind global warming, Dion has walked away from the Liberal party’s only platform this election – The Green Shift Shaft. He’s even denying it was part of his campaign.
I had to laugh when the guardian of the left, the Globe & mail published this today..
When launching his carbon-tax scheme on June 19, Mr. Dion mentioned the term “Green Shift” 14 times. When Mr. Dion delivered a keynote speech to his caucus on Sept. 3, the number of Green Shift references had dropped to 10. By Sept. 11, Mr. Dion only mentioned Green Shift once during his main speech of the day. And by Sept. 18, the term “green shift” had disappeared completely from Mr. Dion’s only speech of the day.
Earlier today when quizzed about whether or not the carbon tax was a major part of his election platform, Mr. Dion replied, “You have said it was but never me.”
… So what has happened to Mr. Dion, defined by Liberals as a man of vision and courage for bringing the carbon tax forward? Was this a bit like Kyoto for him, not his dog but the treaty – when the hard work had to be done he gave up on it and it began to dwindle? Was the green shift luggage lost when the plane broke down earlier in the week?
Time to jump off the Rainbow warrior…
Now there’s a real hidden agenda to talk about.

If, as the Nutty Professor says, he never claimed that the green shaft was the major plank in his platform it begs the question as to where he proposes to get all the money to fund his socialist utopia. Now, I may be getting old and hard of hearing, but I would swear he claimed that the 15 billion a year in new taxes was going to allow him to balance out the social inequities in Canada through changes in the personal tax rates.
I guess this means that all the soccer moms who are so enamoured of the Liberals had better start pinching pennes because the only place he can get the money he needis is by taking out of the hide of the middle class.
