The Canadian dream - a family, a house, a TV, a car, an iPod... it's all crap and if this recession is what it takes to expose this ridiculous and misguided lifestyle, then good!

Save? I've been unemployed for just over 3 years. One meal per day - if you could call it a meal. This for over 8 years of post-secondary education? Our system, our so-called "culture," our "society"? The government lies, the propaganda, THE TRUTH shines through when your daily meal is a sandwich, if you have any left over after the bills - if you have a place to live. Democracy? What is it? Just another word for militaristic capitalism. POWER AND GREED. That's what our fabulous "democracy" is built on, and the lives of unwitting sacrificial lambs. It's all crap. It is ALL crap, carefully fed to us in the guise of Canadian family life.

No matter what happens it means the same for the working stiff..always getting table scraps! Big buisness just has to cancel one of those great days at the club or a weekend at the spa, while the people who really built thier buisness reset thier lives, lose thier homes, cars, and can't feed thier kids..But has'nt this always been the way? Greed and greed and more greed!! But hey maybe thats the real problem, factory farms, greedy large companies, those who want not just to get up and go to the washroom, but they have to do it on a Solid Gold Toilet and on the backs of the working man and his families!! When is the world ever going to wake up!!

With the credit lock-up - the price of credit is going to rise. Not now, but I guess it will by next year.

Inflation will come in the US with a falling dollar - again this will happen early next year as China starts unloading.

I don't believe they'll be able to use low rates to prop up the economy - sure, they'd like to, but we'll need higher rates just to attract anyone to the dollar.

You can't print trillions of dollars without any repercussions.

Canadian rates have to be a bit higher than the US - meaning we'll follow suit.
