In a US ruling, a judge ruled the Food and Drug Administration may not block the importation of “electronic cigarettes,” battery-powered versions of conventional smokes.

Electronic Cigarettes (a.k.a E-Cigarettes or E-Cigs) are quite literally the next wave of recreational smoking. While tobacco cigarettes deliver a whole host of carcinogens as they are burned and inhaled, toxicological studies on e-cigs show it to be a much safer means of delivering nicotine while still resembling typical smoking behavior.
E-Cigarettes do not produce tar so your lungs are not polluted, your teeth and fingers will not stain, your clothes and skin will not stink while those around you will not be offended.
Whereas in most developed countries a smoker is required to step outside for a smoke, e-cig smokers can smoke anywhere because the ’second-hand smoke’ contains nothing dangerous to those around you. Being an electronic smoker means not having to leave your friends and loved ones for a smoke, it means you get to enjoy a smoke like you normally would but in a more comfortable location. Not only will you not harm those around you, your walls will not turn yellow and your room or car will not stink.
Imagine having an electronic cigarette and relaxing while traveling on a plane or at the bar without having to leave your seat or your drink. Circumstances like this can be frustrating to the modern tobacco smoker but the e-cig smoker experiences none of these difficulties. The modern tobacco smoker faces a whole host of health problems related to smoking while the e-cig smoker enjoys a much more measured, controlled and safer smoking experience.
Electronic cigarettes are the future of smoking and it is time for all smokers to evolve and leave tobacco with all its dangers and annoyances behind. Electronic cigarettes are the new, safer and more enjoyable way to smoke.

Good idea, (not for me because I’ll keep smoking the real thing until such time as my ashes fertilize the roses) but you can bet your bottom dollar that the smoke-Nazis will be all over this like white on rice. I can just hear them whining about how this will encourage more children to take up the real habit since their peers and adults will be sending a signal that smoking is acceptable.

As long as you make an informed decision first. Hardly the ‘smoking police,’ the following groups — the most respected medical groups — say electronic-cigarettes are NOT an effective nicotine-replacement therapy and are highly poisonous: American Cancer Society, Cancer Action Network, the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association and the World Health Organization — to name a few.

Do these electronic cigarettes really feel like the real thing? I watched a video at this website but don’t know what to think. Are there any real smokers out there that aren’t promoting a product that can tell me what you really think?

I agree totally with the the article when he says electronic cigarettes are the future. Aside from the obvious fact that smoking is bad for your health, it has become almost impossible or at the very least a serious inconvenience to be a smoker. With all the new no smoking bans and laws that have appeared in the last years, a smoker must literally remove themselves from any public area in order to have a cigarette. In Vancouver, B.C. these laws now include outdoor areas covering all public beaches, parks and within 9 feet of any build entrance way. I feel like a drug addict, not a social smoker. I got mine from Vancouver Electronic Cigarettes vancigs.com They seem very reputable. They answered my questions (you actually get to speak to a warm body) and I got mine delivered the next day. Oh yeah, I now no longer smoke – I QUIT yeah!!!

I bought an electronic cigarette from puffsmart.ca at the beginning of October 2010. I smoked a pack a day for the past 20 years. I tried everything to quit, but nothing worked. I ended up using the electronic cigarette with the patch. Apparently nicotine liquid is not legal in Canada. The guy at Puff Smart told me that Health Canada says that it is not legal. It was scary how easy it was to stop smoking. I took 2 weeks to ween myself off the patch. The ecig is now a habbit, but not a bad habbit. Puff Smart is located in Vancouver Canada and is very good with shipping. The best part is that their ejuice is made locally in ZBritish Columbia. I was not to keen about buying ejuice from China.
