The Vancouver Coffee Scene

July 2nd, 2008 Posted in All about Vancouver

Starbucks announced it is closing 600 stores and laying off 12,000 people… no surprise.

It lost its appeal years ago and it isn’t coming back.

My favourite coffee stop is as busy as usual. For a couple of reasons.

It’s coffee is priced right – and is based on a great coffee.

Not a Venti Double White Mocha Frappuccino to be found.

Small Medium and Large.

It’s store is located on Commercial drive and is comfortable without attitude.

It represents the area and the staff takes the time to talk.

It’s products are easy to pick from and are centered around a great coffee.

Perfect business model for coffee shop.

It’s called Turks. Don’t go telling anyone and ruining it for me, OK?
