since when is “up to 400 m” at human sized targets
(With Scopes!)a “sniper” competition?
not sure if I could do it now as I have been out of practice for some years
but I was laying down head sized (or smaller) groupings at 500m Without Optics
(And also @ 700 on a good day) And I was not the best one out on the line either!

Actually, gun sales are up markedly in the US because of a lot of fears of what the Democrat majorities have in store for firearms owners.
H.R. 45 has already been introduced. From comments I’ve read, sounds somewhat like it was lifted from C-68.
There’s going to be one helluva lot of irate hunters and sport shooters stateside. Millions and millions of ‘em!

This is exactly why you NEVER, EVER, vote for Democrats or Liberals. NOT EVER!
Over the last couple of election cycles they were smart enough not to jump on the anti-gun, ban everything that shoots bandwagon. Now that they have majorities in both houses and the White House, they have gone power mad and figure they can pass any anti-gun legislation they feel like.
This new Assault (look-alike) Weapon ban they are planning will make sure that Obama will not get a second term.
US voters fell for the shiny object this time, but that shine is rapidly fading.
My prediction – no second term for the big O.
