Time To Get Rid Of Your IE.
If you are using Internet Explorer, you may want to quit using it now.
IE has a serious security flaw affecting all versions running on all versions of Windows. It allows hackers to gain access to sensitive data on your PC. Almost 10,000 sites are ready to exploit your PC; so far the sites are mostly Chinese and the malicious software is after passwords for computer games, which can be sold on the black market.
You can count on far more sophisticated trojans to emerge with more dangerous goals.
There’s no fix in sight as Microsoft has yet to release a patch, and a number of security researchers are suggesting that users switch to another browser. (Get Firefox Here).
Microsoft isn’t recommending you ditch IE (though they suggested dumping Apple’s Safari browser when it suffered from a far less serious vulnerability). Instead Microsoft has released a security bulletin with possible workarounds, including running IE in Protected Mode and running Windows as an non-administrative user (to limit the damage an attacker can inflict). (reports that the fixes do not actually work.)
Repeat – Get Firefox.

I had my system breached and someone hijacked my Phone line to make 7 long distant calls to Africa , the bill was almost $1000.00 and now the Phone Company want the payment
, they told me to contact the RCMP’s Cyber-crime unit.
Guess what, the website is a 3rd party Site at http://www.recol.ca and in order to file my report they wanted my email address and for me to set-up a User-name and password to file a report.
Well DUUUHHHH! , my internet service is the problem because hackers broke into my PC and made Phone calls via my dial-up Modem .
Bell waited for the bill to hit $500.00 , but even after telling them the calls weren’t from me the bill ran up to the $1000.00 mark and “It’s your problem” .
I now unplug the dial-up and they froze my Long Distant feature.
They claim the calls were billed to my Number which is a landLine , as if I didn’t figure that out already when the payment-Warning came in.

I find that IE is a real hog on memory. It has what is called memory drift and it gradually will consume all the memory your box has. Scary indeed.
