Where’s PETA When You Need Them?

100 turkeys were mutilated and killed in Langley farm break-in this past Sunday.

Police said some of the turkeys were disemboweled and beheaded.

The attacker broke into a commercial turkey barn and maimed the birds using a tool found on the property, said RCMP Const. Holly Marks.

“Some were beheaded. Some were disemboweled. Some had to be euthanized,” Marks said.

The odd thing is that this isn’t the first time birds have been targeted.

In 1992, a man attacked and killed eight flamingos in a pen in Stanley Park.

In 1994,  a middle-aged man killed four ducklings in a park by throwing stones at them.

Sad, with thanksgiving getting close…

We shouldn’t be too quick to jump to conclusions. I remember, back in my Montreal days, the ducks at the pond in Westmount were being killed. There was general alarm all around. A reward for information was offered. It turned out to be the neighbourhood raccoons.

maybe..but who here wants to bet that sometimes, it is the very people who are so gung- ho about saving these critters that do the fowl deeds?

I like how PETA’s the hero of the day for this pig story.

Lets not forget that they euthanize thousands of animals a year and sponsor fire-bombing of laboratories through the ALF.

PETA is evil, people who support them are thick, just because they manage to do some good every once in a while doesn’t give them a free pass.
