You Have To Feel Sorry For This Bacon Brother
Accused killer Jamie Bacon no longer feels like ‘civilized human being’.
VANCOUVER — Accused killer Jamie Bacon is no longer feeling like “a civilized human being” because of his insufferable jail conditions, his lawyer Kim Eldred told B.C. Supreme Court Tuesday.
Eldred said the youngest of the notorious Bacon brothers already suffered from anxiety and insomnia even before his arrest in the Surrey Six slayings last April.
But she said Bacon is now becoming anti-social and suffering from depression after six months in solitary confinement.
“Mr. Bacon says that the only way he can control his anxiety is effectively by shutting down his emotions,” Eldred said. “He is feeling less and less like he is a civilized human being.”
Justice Mark McEwan suggested that some of Bacon’s anxiety may come from the fact that rivals have tried to kill him more than once.
This is how our justice system works – make the killer the victim. First blame an anti-social condition.
Then:
Bacon, 24, is on Remeron for his anxiety and has also taken Ativan and Valium.
The Remeron is no longer effective in helping him sleep and he is sometimes awake the entire night, she said.
“He feels lethargic, tired and achy all the time,” she said. “While he has this sense of fatigue, he doesn’t get tired because of the lack of stimulation in his life.”
She said Bacon can not read for extended periods because “his eyes do not align properly.”
“If he does [read] he gets quite severe headaches.”
She said Bacon has not been given adequate medical care for his anxiety and has had to wait more than two months for a referral to a specialist.
If his mental health continues to deteriorate, he will not be able to instruct his legal team, impacting his fair trial rights, she said.
Poor little serial killer. Maybe we can cut him some slack. The same that he did to the bystander victims that were gunned down.
The only thing wrong with this picture is that we don’t have a death penalty in Canada.
Update: To add insult to our ‘legal system’ …

And lawyers wonder why people consider them just bottom feeders.
This guy is not a civilized human being.

The problem is “no stimulation in his worthless life” The simple solution to that problem is to put him in general population, or leave him in solitary confinement and issue him with 6 feet of rope and an eye bolt to screw into the ceiling of his cell. I just don’t understand why it takes all these high priced specialists to solve these minor problems.
